Personal Video Statement
After completing the scored portions of the TOEFL Essentials test, you'll record an unscored Personal Video Statement of yourself responding to two questions in English. The Personal Video Statement allows you to share additional insights about yourself and showcase your unique personality to institutions. Remember, your responses are not scored.
The first question is always, "What would you like to tell people about yourself?"
For the second question, you’ll choose one of two randomly selected topics and give your opinion.
For each question, you have 30 seconds to prepare and 2 minutes to respond. Complete responses are between 1 and 2 minutes in length. If you're not happy with a response, you can record it again and only the second recording will be saved. You won't be able to review your recordings before you submit.
Completing the unscored video recordings takes about 5 minutes, not including rerecording.
